Everyone start disappearing, kotobian tadau kaamatan

Seems the only answer to my question “Mana si anu?” is “Dia kogutan”. Bulan lima bulan mabuk. Kurang-kurangai aramai t. Don’t forget the meaning of this festival every time you guys is having “tius sanggalas”. Kotobian tadau kaamatan from me to Sabahan pemabuk.

Quote:

Dancing the “sumazau” with Sabahans looks deceptively simple. Usually performed at religious ceremonies and social events, it is traditionally used to honor spirits for bountiful paddy harvests, ward off evil spirits and cure illnesses. Male and female dancers perform this steady hypnotic dance with soft and slow movements imitating birds in flight. The dance beat is nothing like any of the traditional dances in the peninsula. Hence, it requires a lot of getting used to for the new dancer to learn how to flap his hands gracefully and join the party line without being out of step.

7 “Rukun Aramai Tih” the de facto Sabahan pledge of allegiance:

  1. Kepercayaan kepada tumpung, tajau, botol dan tin;
  2. Kesetiaan kepada sup, bosou, tuhau dan lada;
  3. Kedaulatan giliran, biris dan puun;
  4. Kesopanan dalam kesengsaraan koilob, kogutan, kosobu dan kosirit;
  5. Keluhuran manahas;
  6. Kesusilaan magauk dan kalapik;
  7. Karamaian sanggalas untuk panabas.
